The National Weather Service Office in Cheyenne is warning of strong winds in southeast Wyoming for Sunday morning, followed by a winter storm warning tonight and Monday.

The office issued the following weather statement on Sunday morning:

"Strong Winds (gusts of 55-75 mph) will persist along and west of I-25 through Noon today. A southward moving arctic cold front will produce widespread accumulating snow and Winter Storm Conditions north of a Cheyenne-Scottsbluff-Alliance line later today through Monday night. Expect travel to be impacted by this storm system, especially tonight & Monday. Although some blowing/drifting snow can be expected mainly tonight & Monday, wind gusts of only 15-25 mph should keep any significant impacts localized."
