It’s true that abstract art may not be for everyone, but a woman in Denver had a, shall we say, extreme reaction when she physically attacked and damaged a valuable painting by abstract expressionist Clyfford Still last week.

Carmen Tisch, 36, reportedly punched, scratched and urinated near Still’s painting ’1957-J-No. 2′ at a museum gallery on Dec. 29, causing approximately $10,000 worth of damage.

Tisch was arrested and charged with criminal mischief for defacing the painting, which is valued between $30-40 million.
