The Wyoming Department of Workforce Services (DWS) and its partners have extended the deadline to May 28th for accepting nominations for workplace safety and workforce development awards.

The awards will be presented at the 2014 Wyoming Safety and Workforce Summit which will be held June 25-26 at the Little America Hotel and Resort in Cheyenne.

The DWS Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and the State Mine Inspector’s Office, both divisions within DWS, will present Governor’s Safety Award certificates to Wyoming employers demonstrating a strong safety culture and excellence in safety and health programs.

The Wyoming Oil and Gas Industry Safety Alliance (WOGISA) will present its Stop Work Authority Award. The Wyoming Workforce Development Council (WWDC) will recognize three outstanding Wyoming employers for their commitments to helping develop Wyoming’s workforce.
