WYDOT advises motorists, cyclists and pedestrians that beginning on Saturday morning at 6 am, workers will be active on the Vandehei Interchange off of I-25. Travelers throughout the day and until dusk may encounter no delay, delay up to 15 minutes, or a detour around the interchange as far as Horse Creek Road to the north.

The crew will be upgrading, one at a time, each of the 16 different surface crosswalk bar locations on the roundabout to a thermo-plastic material which promises to be more durable than the traditional reflective paint.

WYDOT traffic engineer, Randy Griesbach, says that because there are multiple entry and exit points on the structure and each traveler will have unique needs, it is impossible for them to know in advance where the workers will be located at a specific time. Therefore it is prudent for people to plan for the longer detour and allow themselves a little more time to reach their destination. The work area will be signed. The work may continue into Monday if they can't get it done on Saturday. No work on Sunday.
