Junior forward Larry Nance Jr. posted 29 points and 13 rebounds for his third-straight double-double and the University of Wyoming men’s basketball team used an 18-2 run late in the second half to down Northern Colorado, 72-59, on Sunday afternoon in the Arena-Auditorium. The Cowboys (8-4) connected on 69 percent from the field, including 84 percent and 4-of-4 beyond the arc in the second half, for their best shooting performance in a game since 2003.

“Our offense has come under some criticism lately, but after 12 games I believe we’re second or third in three-point shooting and second or third in two-point shooting in the league,” UW head coach Larry Shyatt said. “The only disappointment today was our free throw shooting. We had been shooting around 70 percent from the line, and today we only knocked down 64 percent. We can do better at the line, and we’re going to need to.”
