Football fans call it the Boarder War. Wyoming (3-5, 1-3) and Colorado State (7-1, 3-1). The winner gets this trophy, a Bronze Boot. But more importantly. The winning team gets bragging rights for a year in one of the longest running rivalry's in college football. Yesterday the Wyoming Cowboys jumped on the buss and made the trek to Fort Collins. For the Wyoming Cowboys nothing went right all day at the Rams beat up the Cowboys 45-31 giving the Cowboys their fourth straight loss. Colorado State's 6-foot-2, 220-pound quarterback completed his first 13 passes on the night, dropping the football into whatever gap or crease he pleased and finishing with five touchdown passes and 390 passing yards. Wyoming's offense got in trouble early on, as junior running back Shaun Wick left the game with a hand injury during the first series and didn't return. One bright spot on what was a glumly day was freshman running back Brian Hill who scored the first two touchdowns of his career. Hill finished with a career-high 121 rushing yards on 28 carries. The Cowboys will travel next Saturday to play Fresno State.
