About 50 young men and women were on hand for the state's Enlistment Recognition Ceremony at the Guard's Joint Forces Readiness Center in Cheyenne Friday.

The enlistees represented the Army, Marines, Navy and the Air and Army National Guard. Senator John Barrasso (R-WY) said the ceremony is very special and exemplfies what makes Wyoming great.

These are young men and women who were raised with values and a vision for the future.

Issac williams, a graduate of East High School in Cheyenne says he enlisted in the Marines because he wanted to serve his country.

My grandparents served in Vietnam, World War 2 and Korea and I wanted to create my own stories, that way I have something to tell future generations. He adds being a Marine will be a lifelong commitment.

The enlistees were presented with a certificate by Governor Matt Mead.
