Wyoming federal judges recently sentenced three men for drug and child pornography crimes, according to a news release from the Wyoming U.S. Attorney's Office.

U.S. District Court Judge Alan Johnson sentenced two defendants in a methamphetamine conspiracy case.

Johnson sentenced Douglass Gurney Wood, Jr., 53, of Fort Collins, Colo., for conspiracy to distribute more than 500 grams -- about 18 ounces -- of methamphetamine and for being a felon in possession of a firearm. He received 15 years imprisonment, to be followed by five years of probation. Johnson also ordered him to pay a $200 special assessment and $2,000 in restitution.

The judge also sentenced Eric Neal Jones, 52, for conspiracy to distribute more than 500 grams of methamphetamine. He received four years nine months of imprisonment, to be followed by three years of probation, and was ordered to pay a $100 special assessment.

Wood and Jones were arrested in Cheyenne. The Cheyenne Police Department investigated this case.

The cases against the other defendants, Robert Martin Butler and Mark Anthony Avery, in this conspiracy case are pending.

In another case, U.S. District Court Judge Scott Skavdahl sentenced Kyle Stephen Spaulding, 30, of Casper for possession of child pornography. He received three years imprisonment, to be followed by five years of probation. Skavdahl also ordered Spaulding to pay a $100 special assessment and a $200 fine.

This case was investigated by the Wyoming Division of Criminal Investigation Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force.
