The U.S. Marshals Service led Wyoming Fugitive Task Force is looking for a 28-year-old man wanted on kidnapping charges in Cheyenne as well as other charges in Platte County.

Justin Stephenson of the Marshals Service says on June 16 Cheyenne Police on a routine patrol were flagged down by a woman at a local store who told them she had been kidnapped by Justin Lake, who was also at the store, and that he had also injured her.

Lake denied any wrongdoing but soon fled the scene. Police pursued him, and soon found his wrecked vehicle but not Lake. He also has a previous warrant in Platte County for a probation violation with an original charge of aggravated assault with a weapon.

Lake is described as a white man, standing 5-feet, 11-inches and weighing 180 pounds, with blue eyes and brown hair. Anyone with information on him is being asked to call the Laramie County Sheriff's Department at (307) 633-4732, Silent Witness at (307) 638-8477 (TIPS), Cheyenne Police Dispatch at (307) 637-6524 or the U.S. Marshals Service at (307) 772-2196.

Tips can also be emailed to wyomingsmostwanted@gmail.com.

Stephenson says informants can remain anonymous and may be eligible for a cash reward. Lake is considered dangerous and should not be approached.
