Gunwerks in Cody, Wyo just received a $6 million grant/loan from the Wyoming Business Council, according to Shooting Illustrated.

There is an agreement in place for the loan/grant, with the purchase of five acres, the company will be assigned to an area economic development organization, in return the lease will be issued for Gunwerks to build and expand. With the help from the state, Gunwerks can not only maintain their 58 person staff but add 52 more jobs in the next five years.  This deal also depends on Gunwerks finding a company to financially back them on the purchases of firearms, which is expected to cost $5.03 million over five years.

This expansion will help keep the business under one roof, as of now most of the manufacturing happens in Ohio and Utah.  Gunwerks is more than customized firearms and accessories, they have a Long Range University, courses for every type of shooter.  During the classes, they also concentrate on several disciplines of the sport.
