Wyoming federal judges recently sentenced two men for illegal alien crimes, according to a news release from the Wyoming U.S. Attorney's Office.

U.S. District Court Judge Alan Johnson sentenced Mateo Alvaro-Arcos, 39, of Mexico for illegal re-entry of a previously deported alien into the United States. Alvaro-Arcos was arrested in Rock Springs. He received time served plus 10 days, was ordered to pay a $100 special assessment, and is subject to deportation upon release from custody.

Chief U.S. District Court Judge Nancy Freudenthal sentenced Ronald Joel Mendoza-Montoya, 31, of Mexico for illegal re-entry of a previously deported alien into the United States. Mendoza-Montoya was arrested in Douglas. He received six months of imprisonment, to be followed by one year of supervised release, was ordered to pay a $100 special assessment, and is subject to deportation upon release from custody.

The U.S. Department of Homeland Security, Immigration and Customs Enforcement investigated both cases.
