The Wyoming Lottery Corporation unveiled the Wyoming Lottery logo during an open house in Cheyenne Thursday. The logo consists of a blue background featuring Wyoming's mythical Jackalope named "YOLO.

Wyoming Lottery CEO Jon Clontz said the next step in the process will be to hire a gaming vendor. Clontz said his goal is to be able to sell the first tickets by early summer, but that will depend on how long it takes to negotiate a contract with the gaming vendor they select. Residents will be allowed to buy tickets for two types of multi-state games — Powerball and Mega Millions.

The Wyoming Lottery Corporation is a quasi-government entity that operates as a private business and does not use any state tax money. Governor Matt Mead signed a bill last March that cleared the way to start the process of bringing lottery games to the state.
