Scholastic School Supplies is sending out invoices to Some Wyoming schools for hundreds of dollars, presumably in the hopes some will just pay the bills without looking into whether they are genuine or bogus bills. Anyone questioning the bills cannot reach them in their supposed home states of Nevada or New Jersey, because the addresses are just phony mail drops.

How many, if any, have actually sent money is unknown, but The Better Business Bureau in Nevada has received about 70 complaints on the bogus book sellers. Clever and easy scam if it works, but what a scumbag thing to do. I hope they are tracked down and have there genitals fed to hungry wolverines.

Get in touch with the Attorney General, The Federal Trade Commission or Postal Inspector if you suspect something is not right on an invoice. Don't send any money until you know the invoice is valid.
