CHEYENNE, Wyo. (AP) — The number of rigs drilling for oil and gas in Wyoming continues to slide.

Petroleum industry service company Baker Hughes says 32 rigs are operating in Wyoming this week.

That's Wyoming's lowest weekly rig count since 2009. Fifty-five rigs were drilling in Wyoming at the start of the year.

Oil prices have stabilized since last year's sharp drop but are still only half of what they were a year ago. Low prices are discouraging companies from drilling.
