There is a reason Wyoming is nicknamed the Cowboy State. From the modern rodeo to farming and ranching, Wyoming has embraced the cowboy from the state’s license plate to the people’s attitude. The Wyoming Office of Tourism has just published an eBook called “A Guide to Rodeos in the Cowboy State.” This eBook can be downloaded from their website for free.

"The guide educates visitors on what to expect when they visit Wyoming and experience the cowboy culture that is an intrinsic part of the state," said Diane Shober, the executive director of the Wyoming Office of Tourism. "Our cowboy heritage is vast, just like the Wyoming landscape. Readers will see the culture come to life through imagery and storytelling further enticing visitors to experience the Cowboy State and take part in our heritage."

The eBook covers rodeo terms to the history of cattle ranching. You can learn the differences between steer wrestling to tie-down roping. It also describes how each category is judged. Learn about the history and origin of the rodeo.
