First place in the Mountain Division of the Mountain West is on the line, as the Wyoming Cowboys host the 13th-ranked Boise State Broncos in Laramie.

Both teams are 3-0 in conference action.

Wyoming (5-2) has won three straight games and is off to its best start in league action since 1998.

Boise State (7-0) has won nine consecutive games dating back to the end of last season. The Broncos have also never lost to the Cowboys on the gridiron. All-time, they lead the series 10-0.

The closest the Pokes have been in the last six games is 20 points to Boise State. The last time Wyoming was within in a score was a non-conference game in Laramie in 2006. In that one the Broncos posted a 17-10 win.

Wyoming head coach Craig Bohl feels his team has earned an opportunity like this.

Bohl also knows it’s going to be a tough test.

Bohl finally said that if the Cowboys want to be in this game, they’ve got to have their best play well.

It’s the 11th meeting between Wyoming and Boise State. The Broncos are 13.5 point favorites.

Kick-off of this MW showdown is at 5 p.m. from War Memorial Stadium.
