Today Republican National Committee (RNC) Chairman Reince Priebus announced the leadership of the 2016 Republican National Convention Committee on Resolutions, commonly known as the Platform Committee. As part of the Republican National Convention, the Platform Committee, comprised of one man and one woman from each state and territory, will meet to outline the core principles and values of the Republican Party.

Senator John Barrasso of Wyoming will serve as Chairman of the Committee. Governor Mary Fallin of Oklahoma and Congresswoman Virginia Foxx of North Carolina will serve as Co-Chairs.

Senator Barrasso said,

“I am honored and privileged to be chairing the Platform Committee, the Republican Platform Committee represents the grassroots of our party from all different backgrounds and all walks of life. We are going to listen to Republican Party voters to craft a conservative platform that embodies our principles and what we believe as a party. The last eight years have been terrible for hardworking Americans. We know our platform will represent the fundamental change voters are demanding for a stronger America and success in November.”
