Officials with the Wyoming State Fair will hold a listening session in Cheyenne on Wednesday, Oct. 4 at 7 p.m. the Laramie County Fairgrounds Building M.

The Cheyenne meeting is one of a series of listening sessions fair officials will hold across the state to hear what people think about the fair and its future in light of the hard times Wyoming is facing with the downturn of the energy industry.

Officials say the fair is facing some tough budget challenges, and they want to hear what Wyoming residents think about the situation and whether they have any ideas for coping with the situation. They also are interested in what residents think the priorities should be for the fair in light of some of the tough decisions that need to be made. People who attend the meetings will be given a questionnaire to fill out.

You can learn more about the meetings and the fair in general at the Wyoming at the fair website.
