The Wyoming State Museum begins their 2015 Thursday Night Lecture Series on January 8 with 'Yankee Cavalry in Indian Country.'

Wyoming State Archeologist Heyward Schrock will present the free lecture beginning at 7 p.m. in the Barrett Building, 2301 Central Avenue, on Thursday, January 8. He will use letters and documents from two soldiers to present contrasting war experiences.

Two Civil War soldiers were stationed with the 11th Ohio Volunteer Cavalry in Wyoming between 1862 and 1865. Schrock will examine their practical knowledge and differing opinions on their shared situation living in the west.
