Seth Wilson isn't your typical teenager. While his classmates prepare for winter break, the 17-year-old Jackson native is in Las Vegas competing in the "Super Bowl of Bullfighting".

Wilson punched his ticket to the finals of the Bullfighters Only 2017 Championship with an 87.5, the highest score of the qualifying round, last weekend. If the high school senior can repeat that feat this weekend, he will likely take home the $25,000 grand prize.

Wilson is a familiar name for rodeo fans in the Cowboy State. Seth's family has operated the Jackson Hole Rodeo for years. The nearby town of Wilson, was named after Seth's great-great-grandfather "Uncle Nick" Wilson, who was raised by the legendary Shoshoni Chief Washakie and later rode to fame with the Pony Express and Overland Stage.
