The Wyoming Women's Antelope Hunt is scheduled for October 9-12 on a ranch near Buffalo.

Among the highlights of this year's hunt are a dinner and auction slated for October 10. The dinner will feature Governor Matt Mead and First Lady Carol Mead, who will issue a proclamation declaring October 9-12 as Commitment to Conservation and Equality Days in Wyoming.

The dinner and the hunt help raise funds for the Wyoming Women's Foundation mission of promoting economic self-sufficiency for women. Prizes that will be raffled off at the dinner include a trip for two to Sonoma Valley wine country in California and numerous guns donated by Smith&Wesson.

Items to be auctioned off include fly fishing trips donated by Northfork Anglers of Cody and Grand Teton Fly Fishing of Jackson as well as a registered German Shorthaired Pointer puppy, among other items.

Tickets for the hunt are still available, with individual tickets costing $50 and corporate tables also available.
