In 2015 Wyoming was the top ranked state when it comes to the condition of our highways as compared to every other state in the nation according to the Reason Foundations Annual Highway Report.

The study ranks the condition and cost effectiveness of the most used highways across the US.  Some states are falling way behind when it comes to highway condition and rank among the worst  transportation thoroughfares.  In 2016 the states with the worst highway systems include - Alaska, New Jersey, Hawaii, Rhode Island and Massachusetts.

Wyoming fell from the top spot in the latest annual report, but still ranks among the top state highway systems in the country.  The top 10 include:

1 - South Carolina

2 - South Dakota

3 - Kansas

4 - Nebraska

5 - Maine

6 - Montana

7 - North Dakota

8 - WYOMING

9 - Ohio

10 - Mississippi
