Its resemblance of the Holy City of Jerusalem, is how this area got it's name. To catch a nice view of this 'holy city', you can find it between Cody, Wyoming and Yellowstone.

It has been said that this  awesome structure and scene was created by fire and ice, over 50 million years ago. But regardless of how it came to fruition, you'll never want to pass this by without stopping and taking it all in.

Some geologists have determined that hot, volcanic ash helped to form these as well. After slowly cooling, water and run-off streams would form what we see now as the outline of a holy city in Wyoming.
