Have you ever wondered exactly how the crews at Yellowstone National Park clear the roads after a long, snowy winter?  This week, the annual spring plowing operation began. For the next two months, crews will be preparing the park for the annual rush of spring tourists.

Their task is daunting, especially in remote areas of the park.  Here, the crews start digging out the road from Norris to Canyon.

And you thought your snowblower was awesome?  Now, if we can only get the city to buy a couple of those plows, I might actually make it to work on time when the next storm rolls through.
