The bears are waking up at Yellowstone Park--emerging from their winter hibernation.Just the other day in Hayden Valley, campers and hikers photographed a bear. First black bear was spotted on Feb. 11th in the park.

Winter visitors, hikers, skiers and the like are asked to stay in groups of three or more and carry a whistle or bear spray. We always carried bear spray when out in the woods in Alaska. You never know when Yogi will show up looking for a picnic-type basket.
