You Can’t Celebrate ‘Merica Monday (For Fear of Offending)

What kind of wusies have we turned into? At Fort Collins High School, the students wanted to celebrate our country with ‘Merica Monday as part of Winter Spirit Week. But Administrators said no, it’s slang and a bad stereotype--you might offend non-Americans. But what the administrators didn’t count on was the backlash and support for the students from parents and community.

Administrators decided to let the celebration continue as long as they called it "America Monday," instead of "‘Merica Monday."

What bold and decisive action. I am sure that all who love this country, and especially those who fought for this country, are so proud. Political Correctness rears its ugly head once more.
