Fort Collins is a fun town.  And lucky for us, the nightlife, restaurants and shops are just down the road from Cheyenne.  However, there is a dark side to the city's charm.  After spending an evening in FoCo, you might wake up the next day with a terrible hangover.

Business Insider recently published an article ranking the Top 25 Most Hungover Cities in America.  Fort Collins finished third on their list, just behind Fargo, North Dakota, and Lawrence, Kansas.  The study analyzed several factors, including the percentage of residents who drink often, the ratio of social drinkers who "binge drink", along with the number of bars and liquor stores, per capita, and ranked cities based on an overall "Hangover Score".

According to their research, 9.3% of Fort Collins residents are defined as "heavy drinkers".  26.4 % of citizens admitted to "binge drinking" at least once in the past year. Of course, Fort Collins also more bars, breweries and liquor stores than nearly any other city of its size.

An hour south on I-25, the locals also like to party hard.  Denver was ranked #25 in the survey and has one of the highest number of liquor stores, per capita, in the country.  And to think, none of the other cities in the Top 25 have legal marijuana.  Imagine how hungover Fort Collins and Denver would be if everyone wasn't so stoned?
