The 10th Annual Rib Fest at the Depot Plaza is upon us again. Most people don't know what they're doing when they go, they just go. Be warned and be prepared rib lovers!

You can't just go to a rib fest without knowing some basic things about it. Otherwise, when you think rib eaters aren't looking, you'll look like a real amateur, and you'll find people staring and pointing at you. They may even let out a giggle or two.

Here are 5 things to keep in mind when you head out to the Depot Plaza this weekend and get your pork ribs on. Good luck and good scoring big guy! You can do this!

    Embrace The Stain

It's better to embrace the BBQ stain, rather than resist it. Prepare your self now to get good and messy. The best thing to do, is go to a thrift store and buy a cheap shirt before going to Rib Fest. This way you won't be tempted resist the stain. Stains are ok at Rib Fest.

    Get Your Piggy On

Here piggy, piggy! It's alright to get your pig on, but be sure to pace yourself. There are many different vendors and lots of pork to eat. You don't want to eat it all at once. So, take it easy and don't look like your eating the last pig on earth.

    Don't Wear A Belt

There won't be any need for you to wear a belt. So leave the buckle and leather at the house. You'll probably end up eating so much, that you'll be constantly loosening your belt. So, why wear one in the first place. Silly.

    Don't Forget The Bib

If you are one of those people, who simply cannot deal with sauce on your shirt, then don't forget your bib. You can relive those thrilling days of being a toddler and it's ok at Rib Fest.

    Eat To Your Hearts Content

Eat to your hearts content, but don't be a glutton. You'll have all kinds of great BBQ at the Rib Fest, but make sure that if you're going to eat all day, stay at least one bite away from gluttony. You'll be glad you did.
