A biochemist in England says green bananas are much higher in resistant starch . . . which is the best kind of fiber you can eat.  It's a carb, but it doesn't make your blood sugar rise, and it can actually raise your metabolism.

By the time bananas get ripe, a lot of that resistant starch is gone . . . so the greener it is, the better it is for you.

The second piece of advice on eating bananas is to eat the PEEL.

Nutritionist and author Kimberly Snyder says, "The concentration of fiber in the peel is up to three to four times higher than the fruit inside.  It also contains a number of anti-aging antioxidants and vitamins."

So, if you eat the peel, it's good for your overall health, your skin, and lowering your cholesterol.
