ZZ Top rolled into Cheyenne yesterday, rocking a rowdy crowd at the Civic Center after guitarist Billy Gibbons spent the day touring the town.

The "Little Ol' Band From Texas" took the stage shortly before 8 p.m., delivering a career-spanning 15 song set that featured many of their biggest hits and a cover of the Merle Travis country-western standard "Sixteen Tons". Gibbons paused several times during the show to compliment the fans, the city, and the venue.

"I got in the car and drove down to Terry Bison Road to see the buffalo today. You guys have a cool place here. That's why we've been coming around here for nearly five decades," Gibbons said. "Cheyenne, Wyoming, you guys are bad and nationwide".

The concert marked ZZ Top's first Cheyenne show since CFD in 2004. The also played Frontier Days in 1999. Hopefully, this won't be the last time we see them.
