13-Year-Old Wyoming Boy Treated for Gunshot Wound

A 13-year-old Rock Springs boy was treated at a hospital after suffering a gunshot wound to his leg over the weekend.

Officers responded to Tate Way in Rock Springs at 5:15 p.m. Saturday, according to a statement from the Rock Springs Police Department.

The boy was found to have survived the wound, and his injuries were treated at Memorial Hospital of Sweetwater County. As he is a juvenile, the boy's name has not been released.

The investigation continues, but police say initial reports indicate that the shooting was accidental.
