Cheyenne police are investigating a burglary that occurred on Feb. 26 at STRIDE Learning Center.

Officer Kevin Malatesta says a pair of red Polaris ATVs -- one with a snow plow on it -- two power washers and a large variety of DeWalt power tools as well as other items were stolen from a shed behind the preschool.

"The suspects arrived in a silver car and it appears that at least three people were involved," he said.

Malatesta says video shows one of the suspects wearing a red or white hoodie and another wearing a black jacket and light-colored hat. The third suspect stayed in the car.

"Any burglary is bad, but this one's particularly surprising (given) the fact that these people are stealing from a facility that's helping out children with special needs," said Malatesta.

Anyone with information about the burglary is asked to call Crime Stoppers Silent Witness at (307) 638-TIPS. Callers will remain anonymous and may be eligible for a cash reward of up to $1,000.
