5 Best Weekend Trips For Cheyenne Residents
It's going to be 80 degrees this weekend and you've got 2 days off. What do you do!?
Here's some ideas as to my favorite weekend trips.
- Curt Gowdy State Park - The closest spot for great outdoor recreation. Whether you're athletic and love hiking, or adventurous and want to go ATV'ing, Curt Gowdy can hook you up with some fun.
- Denver - Need a taste of city life? It's an obvious choice, but Denver always has something going on for everyone in the family. And one of my favorite parts of visiting is trying a new restaurant.
- Deadwood - Did you know Deadwood is only a 4 1/2 drive? It may be more ideal if you had 3 or 4 days off, but if you're looking for a drive and a fun city, Deadwood it is!
- Fort Collins - Another obvious choice, but FoCo is only an hour away. Great shopping, great restaurants, and if you're looking to grab a weekend beer... the only problem is deciding which of the places to stop at.
- Laramie - Even though you probably visit Laramie a lot, the great part is there's a ton of non-chain, unique restaurants. (There's a food theme to this list isn't there?) And there's always fun things going on at UW. Plus, if you're 'outdoorsy' you can enjoy Vedauwoo on the way!
