68% Of Wyoming Residents Are ‘Dog People’
Over two-thirds of people in Wyoming classify themselves as dog lovers, according to a new survey commissioned in honor of National Dog Day.
The Cowboy State ranked slightly below the national average, with 68% of respondents saying they love dogs. Nebraska finished last in the Dog Day survey, with only 48% of residents identifying themselves as dog lovers.
California ranked first nationwide with 88% of respondents claiming to be "dog people". New York, Washington, Tennessee, and Florida rounded out the top five.
Among the dog lovers in the survey, 86% say "I love you" to their pets. 70% say they prefer the company of dogs to people and 68% admit to letting their pets sleep in the bed.
