LARAMIE -- For a football fan from Wyoming, Border War week is like Christmas and a birthday rolled into one.

The main difference is you can't lose those holidays.

Someone is going to own those bragging rights for an entire year. When it's you, life is good. When you hand that power over to a Colorado State fan, the winter goes by a little slower. Those few -- and I mean very few -- random Rams' shirts at Cheyenne Frontier Days make you cringe a little harder. Social media, believe it or not, becomes even more insufferable.

On this episode Jared Newland and Cody Tucker share some stories from Border Wars of the past. Rarely do we remember the score, but this tilt isn't about that. Sometimes all it takes is a phrase or even a word:

"The Drive"

"The stiff arm"

"44-0"

"Fog Bowl"

"Closing down Hughes"

"Malcom Floyd over Ben Stratton"

There are some bad ones, too.

"The bounce pass"

"The fake punt"

"The Covid Bowl"

"Lubick's last stand"

That's the beauty of this annual slugfest between these two rivals -- the memories.

The Pokes and Rams will meet on the football field for the 114th time in history tonight inside Canvas Stadium. Kickoff is scheduled for 5 p.m. and the game will be televised on CBS Sports Network.

We waltz down memory lane in this episode, but also dig into this year's meeting. Can CSU keep UW's edge rushers out of the backfield? Will Titus Swen be healthy and look like the guy who terrorized Utah State? Can Andrew Peasley figure things out in the passing game? Can the Pokes' D stop the dynamic duo of Avery Morrow and Tory Horton?

There's a lot on the line for one team tonight. For the other, it's all about playing spoiler.

Buckle up.
