Looks like all those promotional appearances the Black Keys have put in the past few weeks has paid off. 'Turn Blue,' their eighth album, is officially their first No. 1 record.

With all the s--- talking, prank calling and television appearances the duo has undertaken since 'Turn Blue' was announced back in March, it really should come as no surprise that the album would debut at the top of the Billboard 200 chart, which officially comes out tomorrow.

Then again, the group's last two albums -- 2011's 'El Camino' and 2010's 'Brothers' -- stalled at Nos. 2 and 3, respectively. So nothing is a given. But the media blitz the Keys put in motion a few weeks back was well worth the effort.

'Turn Blue' is also the band’s highest-charting LP across the planet, reaching No. 1 in Canada and Australia, No. 2 in the U.K. and New Zealand, No. in Ireland, No. 4 in France and Switzerland and No. 5 in Austria and Holland. It also made the Top 10 in Germany, Belgium, Finland, Norway and Portugal.

Next up for the band: a world tour that kicks off in September to hit many of those nations that helped secure their big score.
