We had Marketing Coordinator Baylie Evans in the KING FM studio this morning to talk about the upcoming Chili Challenge!Listen to the interview here;

The Boys & Girls Club of Cheyenne’s Chili Challenge will be bigger than ever this year with 30 different chili teams competing, as well as ice cream and frozen custard, beer, soda and other food to try. With about 800 people expected to attend, it is sure to be an energetic and fun community event for a great cause. For the first time, the event will also include a silent auction with items like a 14’ Hobie Sailboat, a neon bar sign, a barbeque grill and other great items.

The Chili Challenge will be 5 to 8 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 25, 2013, at Cheyenne’s Holiday Inn. Tickets are $15 for adults and $5 for children age 6 to 11. They are available now at Wyoming State Bank, Wyoming Bank & Trust and at the Club’s temporary location at 2100 Pioneer Ave. They will also be available at the door.

The Chili Challenge is the Club’s annual chili cook off fundraiser for the Club. Teams will compete for best tasting chili and best decorated booth, but the real prize goes to the team that raises the most money for the Club. Guests will be invited to vote for their favorite chili by donating cash to that team. All proceeds go to the Boys & Girls Club.

Announcements of winners will be made around 7:30 p.m. in the main ballroom of the Holiday Inn.
