8 Hospitalized After Apartment Fire in Greeley

Eight people are being hospitalized after an apartment fire in Greeley.

According to Denver7, an initial report of the fire came in at around 7:20 a.m. Thursday morning on 12th Street and 12th Avenue in Greeley, Colo.

Heavy smoke was coming from a second-floor apartment when firefighters arrived. All eight people evacuated themselves and were taken to the hospital to be treated for smoke injuries.

The fire was contained, though the cause is currently under investigation.
