CDC Issues New Guidelines On When You Should Wear A Mask

The Center for Disease Control has announced new guidelines for mask-wearing for people who are now fully vaccinated for COVID-19.

WHEN SHOULD I WEAR A MASK?

The CDC is now recommending that anyone who has been fully vaccinated does not have to wear a mask while indoors. For anyone who is not fully vaccinated, the CDC is recommending that you still wear a mask while indoors and outdoors if you cannot be socially distant.

WHAT IF I AM NOT FULLY VACCINATED? 

If you have not received both doses of the Pfizer or Moderna or the single shot of the Johnson and Johnson vaccine, the CDC is recommending that you still wear a mask while inside and outdoors if you can't be socially distant.

WHY THE CHANGE IN GUIDELINES? 

Officials cited three different studies that showed that the vaccine is working on preventing the spread of the COVID-19 virus. Since those studies show that people who are vaccinated are not spreading the virus, people don't have to wear a mask.

WHERE CAN I GET VACCINATED?

WHAT IF I AM VACCINATED BUT THE PERSON I AM WITH IS NOT? 

The CDC is still recommending that if you are with someone who is not fully vaccinated, that you both still wear a mask indoors and outdoors if you cannot be socially distant.
