Cheyenne Compost Facility, Transfer Station Open Longer This Week

Cheyenne Mayor Marian Orr has announced the City Compost Facility at 3714 Windmill Road will be open for extended hours today (Tuesday) through Saturday to help with clean-up from the recent hail storms in the area.

While the facility is normally open from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday, this week only it will be open until 7 p.m. The hours between 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. will be for drop-off only.

The facility accepts topsoil, brush, grass, sod, manure, and limbs. The City Sanitation Transfer Station will also be open until 5 p.m. on Saturday.

It normally closes at 2:30 p.m. on Saturdays
