The Cheyenne Office of the National Weather Service has extended the Blizzard Warning in the Nebraska panhandle to include parts of eastern Wyoming, including Cheyenne, Torrington, and Pine Bluffs, Wednesday into Thursday.

Areas to the west of Cheyenne are now under a Winter Storm Warning. Including Laramie, Rawlins, Arlington, Elk Mountain, Bosler, Bordeaux, Wheatland, and Guernsey


...BLIZZARD WARNING IN EFFECT FROM NOON WEDNESDAY TO 3 PM MDT THURSDAY...

* WHAT...Blizzard conditions expected. Total snow accumulations of 6 to 13 inches expected. Winds gusting as high as 55 mph.

* WHERE...the Nebraska Panhandle and parts of southeast Wyoming.

* WHEN...From noon Wednesday to 3 PM MDT Thursday.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Travel could be very difficult. Areas of blowing snow could significantly reduce visibility. Roads will be slick. The hazardous conditions could impact the morning or evening commute.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Blizzard Warning means severe winter weather conditions are expected or occurring. Falling and blowing snow with strong winds and poor visibilities are likely.
