Get ready to raise your glasses and shout “Opa!  The 28th Annual Cheyenne Greek Festival  is September 12th and 13th at Frontier Park Exhibition Hall.

This fun filled festival hosted by Saints Constantine and Helen Greek Orthodox Christian Church of Cheyenne, started out as a modest bazaar at the Greek Orthodox Church, but grew over the years to become a huge cultural event right here in Cheyenne.

This year’s event, presented by Tyrrell Doyle Auto Centers, will feature all sorts of authentic Greek food,  Greek beverages in the Taverna, a pastry booth with a large assortment of delicious Greek pastries and breads all packaged for you to purchase and take home, lots of Greek music and entertainment including the Traditional Greek Folk Dace performed by the Little Athenians of Cheyenne, and more!

Proceeds from this event benefit Saint Constantine and Helen Greek Orthodox Church, along with  this year's "Charity of Choice" the Laramie County Community College Foundation, which helps students through scholarship support as well as providing cultural events that include speakers, artists and musical presentations.

You can also buy a raffle ticket for your chance to win some great prizes including round trip airfare for two to Greece!  There will also be all sorts of hand crafted jewelry from Europe, and the Chris Dokos Band will be performing live, to make this year’s festival even more festive!

The Cheyenne Greek Festival will be THIS Friday, September 12th from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m., and THIS Saturday, September 13th from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m..  For more information, call the Saints Constantine and Helen Greek Orthodox Church at 307-635-5929, or online at Cheyennegoc.org.
