Cheyenne Man Accused of Having Sex with Underage Employee Bound Over for Trial
The case against a Cheyenne man accused of having a sexual relationship with a minor who worked for him has been sent to Laramie County District Court.
Circuit Court Judge Thomas Lee on Friday found probable cause to bind Thomas Keetley over on four counts of first-degree sexual abuse of a minor and a single count of child abuse.
The incidents are alleged to have occurred between Nov. 1, 2015 and April 30, 2016, when Keetley was 28 years old and the victim, who was working for him, was 15.
Keetley was also facing three counts of third-degree sexual abuse of a minor alleged to have occurred between May 16, 2016 and July 14, 2016, but Lee said there was no testimony that the victim worked for Keetley after May 16 and dismissed the charges.
District Attorney Jeremiah Sandburg told KGAB Radio on Friday that his office planned to refile the charges.
Keetley remains free on bond. His arraignment date has yet to be scheduled.
