Cheyenne Police Dogs Sniff Out Burglary Suspect

Cheyenne Police say they interrupted a burglary in progress on Thursday night and found the alleged thief hiding nearby.

Police spokesman Officer Dan Long says police were called to the 300 block of Evelyn a little before 7:30 p.m. on Oct. 20 on a report of someone loading items onto a trailer.

Long says police found a truck and a trailer parked inside a fenced lot but found no one around. He says police dogs Ruger and Pavel were brought in to investigate, and soon led police to a man hiding in some weeds nearby.

Paul Ebell was arrested for burglary and possession of burglar tools.
