The Cheyenne Post 6 Varsity baseball team won it’s third straight State Title Saturday night with a 14-4 win over Gillette. Brandon Nimmo, a first round draft pick of the New York Mets,  was voted the tournament’s Most Valuable Player for the third straight year. He  went 4-for-5 with an inside-the-park home run and four RBIs and threw out a Gillette runner at home in the fifth. Cheyenne, which has now won 10 of the last 11 Class AA titles, advances to the American Legion Northwest Regional. Post 6  will face Washington champion on Thursday.
