Cheyenne Restaurants Participate In Pink Plate Fundraiser
October is breast cancer awareness month. The Wyoming Breast Cancer Initiative has come up with a program called Plates for Pink Restaurant week and Cheyenne is participating, according to the Casper Star Tribune.
Plates for Pink Restaurant week will start on Friday, October 12th and end on Saturday, October 20th. The restaurants participating will donate a portion of their profit to the WBCI. The money will be distributed to breast cancer programs across the state. October 20th, Wyoming University will host its annual Pink game. Cheyenne Regional Medical Center and the Wyoming Breast Cancer Initiative teamed up to offer discount tickets, free shirts and will accept donations to benefit cancer programs across the state. Breast cancer survivors get in for free and everyone that is going to the game is asked to wear pink in support.
The following restaurants in Cheyenne will be participating in the Plate Pink: Tuskers, Friday; Freedom’s Edge & The Daily Press, Saturday; Tasty Bones BBQ & Bakery, Monday, October 15; 2 Doors Down, Tuesday, October 16; Wing Shack, Wednesday, October 17; Texas Roadhouse, Thursday, October 18; Drinks for Pink fundraiser at the CFD Buckle Club, Friday, October 19.
Cheyenne isn't the only city participating, Casper is as well with these restaurants: Guadalajara Mexican Restaurant, Saturday; Downturn Wings N’ Greens, Sunday, October 14; The Office Bar & Grill, Monday, October 15; Racca’s Pizzeria Napoletana, Tuesday, October 16; The Gaslight Social, Wednesday, October 17; Keg & Cork, Thursday, October 18; C85 Wonder Bar, Friday, October 19; The Hangar Bar & Grill (Bar Nunn), Saturday, October 20.
O'Dwyers in Laramie every Tuesday during the month and Wyoming Rib and Chop in Laramie, Cheyenne, Gillette, and Sheridan will have a month-long special named "buy a rack, save a rack."
