Cheyenne/Laramie County Closures/Delays For Jan. 22

The following closures and/or delays have been announced in Laramie County on Monday, Jan 22. due to a winter storm which hit eh area Saturday and Sunday:

-The three rural schools in Laramie County School District#1--Clawson, Willadsen, and Gilchrist--are closed today. Rural bus routes will not be running.

So far no other closures or delays in LCSD#1 have been announced.

-The City of Cheyenne and Laramie County have announced a Level 3 West closure for employees living in Area 3 West. That means all non-essential city and county employees living in the area designated as Area 3  West should consider staying at home due to hazardous road conditions. All other city and county employees are expected to report to work as usual.

-The Cheyenne Police Department has implemented the accident alert system. That means police will only respond to car accidents involving injuries, drunk drivers or cars blocking roadways. All accidents can be reported on a delayed basis. Accident report forms are available at the Cheyenne Public Safety Building.
