This week Cheyenne's Critter of the Week is several critters as the Cheyenne Animal Shelter has many kittens up for adoption.

Between now and about October is the busy season for kittens and the shelter gets over-run. Not only does the shelter need help with getting these kittens adopted but they also need help with foster homes. If you don't want a kitten forever, that is fine, you can foster until the kittens are old enough to be adopted. You would just have to feed and care for the kittens until they are able to do it on their own. The shelter will provide everything you need to foster.

As of right now, there are several kittens up for adoption that are just five weeks old. For a kitten, it cost $125 for adoption, that includes all the shots and a microchip. If the cat/kitten is seven months or older the fee is waived and you can adopt a cat today.

For more information about the kittens and fostering call the shelter at 307-632-6655 or go to the Cheyenne Animal Shelter any day of the week from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
