The Cheyenne City Council rejected a deal to sell three homes to the Cheyenne Housing Authority for $4,441. The Housing Authority planned to use the homes to provide low-income rental housing. The city purchased the homes at 515 Morrie Avenue, 916 E. 5th St and 922 E. 5th St. between 2006 and 2008 at a cost of $304,000 for the Norris Viaduct Bridge project.

The city will now put the houses out for public bid for the second time. Voting against the sale were Councilman Jack Spiker, Jimmy Valdez, Amber Ash, Don Pierson, Sean Allen and Georgia Broyles. Cheyenne Mayor Rick Kaysen, Councilman Jim Brown and Councilman Mark Rinne voted in favor of the deal.
