Did Cheyenne’s March Come In Like a Lamb or Like a Lion?
Did the month of March come in like a lamb or like a lion here in Cheyenne?
The saying goes that if the month comes in like a lamb, it will go out like a lion. Most years in Cheyenne, the wind is blowing and sometimes the snow too, so it usually comes in and goes out like a lion.
According to Day Weather's website, the high at the Cheyenne Regional Airport on Sunday, March 1, was 28 degrees at about 1:30 this afternoon. The peak wind speed was just 16 miles per hour at 6 p.m. which is barely a breeze.
I think today was relatively mild for the beginning of March, so I would call it a lamb. It is the year of the sheep. Most likely we will get more snowstorms and lots more wind throughout the month of March, so be prepared to face the lion.
